Job Description:

The primary requirement of this role is to support the Rubrik backup environment. Being able to assist with the storage environment is a plus.

Administer, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and support large enterprise RUBRIK backup and storage (NetApp) environments.

Work independently and with others to accomplish tasks and goals.

Engage vendors as needed to address and resolve operational issues.

Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical audiences.

Perform any other duties as needed that support, facilitate, or enable the work assigned.

Represent or justify any proposed work in operational meetings (such as team meetings, Change Advisory Board, Problem Management)

Be responsive, communicative, and available during established working hours.

Work a flexible schedule to accommodate (the infrequent) evening/weekend work as dictated by established maintenance windows.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

5+ years' experience in a Backup role - must have Rubrik experience for an IT organization required, preferably in a large enterprise setting with multiple operating platforms.

Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies.

Strong documentation skills.

Strong communication skills.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and workloads effectively.

Ability to work independently and with others to accomplish tasks and goals.

Strong understanding of standard datacenter infrastructure (networking, storage, compute, virtualization, etc.)

Experience with NetApp or other storage technologies is a plus.

Scripting/automation skills a plus (PowerShell, Terraform, JSON)
