JAVA Developer (Active IRS MBI Clearance)

Job Description

Client is looking for a Java Developer in Hyattsville, MD area for a long term contract with possible extension on the new contract for another 4-5 years.

Please Note: 

It will be 100% remote during Covid-19 which may require to report to client site in the Washington DC, MD, VA area. 

After COVID-19 client would require candidate to go to Hyattsville, MD location one day per week. Other days are remote.

Remote work directions are on discretion of the client and end-client and it may change in the future. 

Description of Assignment: 

Work with ALC developers to convert legacy code from ALC to JAVA.

Develop modernized code in JAVA

Document existing logic

Work in agile team to modernize existing systems.

Staff resource skillsets should include: Active IRS MBI Clearance

Requirements

Staff resource skillsets should include:

A minimum of 3 – 8* years collective developing applications in JAVA. 

Hibernate

JAVA on the mainframe

Experience with Json and Annotation

Prior experience working on Agile teams.

Spring Batch (experience with scaling would be a plus)

IRS/IMF/CADE 2 experience preferred

Excellent communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels

Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning)

Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team

Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for non-degreed candidates.​
